Physical load in simulated sustained military operations: A Systematic Review
Fanta, Matěj ; Vágner, Michal (advisor) ; Sýkora, Karel (referee)
Title: Physical load in simulated sustained military operations: a systematic review Objective: To create an overview and description of the physical load that soldiers undergo in simulated sustained operations. Methods: The method chosen to create this bachelor's thesis was a systematic review of literature and studies related to sustained military operations. The thesis was conducted according to the international PRISMA recommendations. Based on the aim of the thesis and the research question, a script was created to identify potentially relevant studies through the Web of Science, PubMed, Scopus and SPORTDiscus databases. To the systematically identified studies, studies from other sources obtained through non- systematic searching were added. Selected studies that met the predefined inclusion criteria underwent a methodological quality assessment, followed by processing and analysis of the selected data. Results: The systematic review included 42 studies with participation of 872 men and 69 women. However, a number of these studies were published based on data from larger investigations, or some of the articles were a continuation of previously published studies. In some cases, the protocols described were identical. For this reason, only 26 studies that followed different protocols are...
The normalization study of the motoric tests focusing on strength, endurance and dexterity performance at the artillery and air force military personnel.
Šrámek, Antonín ; Vágner, Michal (advisor) ; Sovák, Libor (referee)
The normalization study of the motoric tests focusing on strength, endurance and dexterity performance at the artillery and air force military personnel. The physical preparedness of soldiers is an important component of the military's combat capability. In peacetime, soldiers increase their physical level in all-military training, where they also undergo physical performance examinations. Standardised motor tests are used for the objective assessment of physical performance, where it is necessary to set the norms to which the performance is assessed. The objectives This diploma thesis aimed to set the normsfor the motor test "Deadlift", "Hand Release Push-up", "3000-Metre Run" and "Carrying the Load", in which reliability during repeated measurements was also assessed. The method The research set consisted of 105 artillerymen for the first three above mentioned motor tests and 65 men (44 artillerymen and 21 men from the helicopter airbase) for "Carrying the Load". The set of soldiers was divided into age groups within five years. To calculate the norms, the normal distribution of the data was first verified and then the possible difference between the ages was compared using parametric and non-parametric ANOVA. Potential differences between the categories were compared using the Mann-Whitney test...
Sport training for paramedic students
ŠTENCLOVÁ, Adéla
This bachelor's thesis concerns the sports training of students in the paramedics' fields at Czech universities. Nowadays, a paramedic is physically stressed by using the instrumentation technics, which are a part of the Medical Rescue Service vehicles, and manipulating patients. The university students have been prepared not only by obtaining knowledge but also by physical preparations. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and the empirical parts. The theoretical part defines the work of a paramedic and the base part of the Integrated Rescue System. Moreover, it deals with a theory of sports achievement, the content of the sports preparation, and the sports courses in the Paramedic fields at the University of South Bohemia. The empirical part was performed by the quantitative method of the survey, by an own questionnaire technique. The research samples come from students in the Paramedic field at particular Czech universities. The survey aimed to analyze the content of the sports preparation and to find out the subjective evaluation of the severity of the sports preparation and the physical readiness of the students. There are two hypotheses. H2: The subjective assessment of the demandingness of the sports preparation is different at particular Czech universities, and H3: The subjective assessment of the physical readiness for the sports preparation in the Paramedic field is the same for both men and women. There is a specific research question for the first aim, which asked about differences in contents of the sports preparation in particular universities in the Czech Republic. The investigative survey detected that according to the students' evaluations, the severity of the sports preparation differs among the Czech universities. Moreover, differences between males and females, were evaluated without significant distinction. Differences in the content of the sports preparation among the particular universities are not considerable. This bachelor's thesis may work as a proposal for adjusting the accreditation in the Paramedic field at the Czech universities.
Physical and technical readiness of 10 - 11-year children at athletic preparatory
Hykeš, Radek ; Vindušková, Jitka (advisor) ; Feher, Jan (referee)
Title: Physical and technical readiness of 10 - 11-year children at athletic preparatory. Objectives: The aim of the study was to determine whether the deliberate training for a period of two months may be influenced by the level of physical and technical readiness of 10 - 11-year children who regularly attend athletic preparation. Methods: The work was conceived as a theoretical and empirical study, which used a quantitative and qualitative evaluation of the level of physical and technical preparedness probands. Results: When testing the condition of readiness assayed using (Long jump from a position, running at 50 meters, throw medicine ball (2 kg)) revealed that in almost all cases there was an improvement condition, only one child have deteriorated during the test run at 50m but only about 0.1 seconds, which can be considered negligible deterioration. In the tests, the technical readiness worsened also only one child, the test slew of obstacles, namely by 0.2, in all other cases, the children improved significantly, with an average value of 0.7 is about to sweep obstacles and throw the ball in test even the value of 1.1. At the same time, we came to the fact that children with better performance on tests of fitness achieved greater improvements in tests investigating the level of technology....
